★Maximum Residue Limits of Pesticides in Food (GB2763-2021) will be implemented on September 3★

Recently, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the National Health Commission and the State Administration for Market Regulation jointly issued the "National Food Safety Standard, Maximum Residue Limits of Pesticides in Food" (GB2763-2021). The new standard will be implemented on September 3, 2021.

★GACC | Emergency Preventive Measures against a Russian Processing Vessel★

On June 2, 2021, the General Administration of Customs took emergency preventive measures against a Russian processing vessel, due to the positive nucleic acid test of COVID-19 in 4 samples of 2 batches of frozen Pollock from Russia. The national customs suspended the acceptance of Russian processing vessel Boris Trofimenko "AKROS" Fishing JSC (Registered number: CH-571) import declaration for 2 weeks from June 2. Product declaration will resume automatically after expiration.

★CFE | Release Approval document (Decision) for Special Food (Update on June 2)★

On May 28, and 31, the Food evaluation Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation updated the list of approval document (decision) for the registration of infant formula milk powder products, which involves 13 kinds of infant formula milk powder products such as Zhijia infant formula goat milk powder (0-6 months old, Stage 1), Xiyue infant formula milk powder (0-6 months old, Stage 1), Kabrita infant formula goat milk powder (0-6 months old, Stage 1).

★Nutrition labeling requirements for infant and follow-up infant formula in Taiwan★

On April 27, 2021, Taiwan issued the revised "Regulations on Nutrition Labeling for Prepackaged Food Products", which mainly incorporated the nutrition labeling requirements of infant and follow-up formula and formula for certain disease into the regulations. At the same time, the original "Regulations on Nutrition Labeling for Prepackaged Infant and Follow-up Formula and Formula for Certain Disease" was abolished. Products that have been licensed before the date of the announcement shall meet all the requirements of the new announcement from January 1, 2023. Today the global foodmate will introduce the nutrition labeling requirements of infant and follow-up formula in combination with the regulatory requirements.
