This standard replaces GB 4789.40-2010 “National food safety standard Food microbiological examination： Examination of Enterobacter sakazakii”, SN/T 1632.1-2013 “Determination of Enterobacter sakazakii (Cronobacter) from dehydrated powdered milk for export-Part 1: Isolation and enumeration”.

Compared with GB 4789.40-2010, major changes of this standard are as follows:

——the name of this standard has been revised to “National food safety standard Food microbiological examination: Examination of Cronobacter (Enterobacter sakazakii)”;

——the picked number of suspected colonies has been revised.
