The Tariff Department (Office of the Customs Tariff Commission of the State Council) of China’s Ministry of Finance has recently issued an announcement that, starting from September 25, 2024, it will cease to implement the policy of exempting import tariffs on 34 items of agricultural products, such as fresh fruits, vegetables and aquatic products, originating from Taiwan, and the import tariffs on related agricultural products will be implemented in accordance with the current relevant regulations.
