According to the U.S. Federal Register, on October 7, 2024, the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) issued Regulation 2024-23085 revising the residue limits for Flazasulfuron in avocados.

EPA conducted a risk assessment on toxicity, dietary exposure, and effects on infants and young children and ultimately concluded that the following residue limits are safe. The proposed revisions are listed below:

It is understood that this regulation is effective October 7, 2024, and that objections or requests for hearings need to be submitted by December 6, 2024.
