On October 24, 2024, the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) issued a public consultation on six new types of food additives, including peroxidase, with the following text:
In accordance with the "Measures for the Administration of New Types of Food Additives" and the "Regulations on the Declaration and Acceptance of New Types of Food Additives," the applications for peroxidase and xylanase as new types of food additives, 3'-sialyllactose sodium salt and lactose-N-neotetraose as new types of food nutrition fortifiers, and magnesium oxide and hydrogen peroxide as food additives with expanded usage, have undergone technical review by the expert evaluation committee regarding their safety and process necessity (for specific details, please see the attachment). Now, we are inviting public opinions on these matters. Please submit your feedback to our center's email (zqyj@cfsa.net.cn) by November 24, 2024. Any submissions received after this deadline will be considered as having no opinion.
