On November 7, 2024, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) issued Notice 314-24, Application A1299, seeking comments on a fructosyltransferase as a processing aid.

According to the notice, the fructosyltransferase is produced by Aspergillus oryzae for the production of short-chain oligofructose (sc-FOS). The deadline for comments is December 5, 2024 at 6 p.m. (Canberra time).
