On November 5, 024, the Russian Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) released the results of quality testing of edible oats.
The main point: from January 15 to October 30, 2024, the Research Department for Quality and Safety of Grain and Foodstuffs and Chemical Toxicology tested 511 samples of oats, including more than 8,100 samples of harmful impurities, organoleptic indicators (odour, color), safety indicators (contaminants, pests), quality indicators (humidity, dirt, oil content), and physicochemical indicators. One of the samples exceeded the standard value for impurities (5.2% for grains including barley and rye), and the standard value did not exceed 1.0%.
