In the first three quarters of this year, EASTROC sales revenue has exceeded 10.5 billion yuan.

But recently, the product fell into the "sugar assassin" storm, was accused of a bottle of EASTROC containing about 15 sugar cubes, and even consumers said that "drink too much gout."

Recently, a consumer posted on the social platform that after drinking EASTROCfor several months, uric acid was found to be higher than the normal range value during the physical examination, causing gout.

Previously, the media sent 12 functional drinks to the third-party authoritative testing institutions for inspection, including Red Bull, EASTROC, War Horse, Lipovitan, Monster Energy, Want Want and other brands, from the anti-fatigue ability, sugar content, food additive content and other aspects of comprehensive evaluation of product strength.

The test results at the sugar content level showed that the EASTROC contained 13.3g of sugar per 100ml, which was not only much higher than the standard of "high sugar" beverage defined by the Department of Health of Hong Kong, China (sugar content per 100ml is higher than 7.5g), but also the standard specification for the sale of EASTROC(500ml). One bottle contained up to 66.5 grams of sugar (equivalent to 14.6 sugar cubes), the highest total sugar content of the 12 energy drinks tested.

For the test results of the sugar content, the official response of EASTROC is, "The safety and functionality of the formula has been evaluated and approved by the relevant state departments, at the same time, our product label is clear, it is recommended to bottle a day."
