On November 12, 2024, the Food Standards Australia New Zealand (FSANZ) issued Notice 317-24, Application A1269, for a second consultation on the approval of cell culture-based quail meat as a novel food.

It is understood that the application was submitted by Vow Group Pty Ltd. The closing date for comments is December 24, 2024 at 6pm (Canberra time).
