On October 31, 2024, the Dutch Committee on Genetic Modification (COGEM) published the risk assessment report of the application for renewal of import and processing authorization for genetically modified soybean 305423, which was adopted on October 17th. After COGEM's assessment of the above transformants, it concluded that there were no safety concerns and, based on bioinformatics and other data, COGEM considered that the import and processing of the above transformants posed a negligible risk to the environment in the Netherlands, and that its food/feed risk assessment was the responsibility of other organizations.
