South Korea proposed to set new residue limits for 14 pesticides including Amisulbrom

On 20 November, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) of the Republic of Korea issued Announcement No. 2024-530, which proposes to amend some of the contents of the Residue Standards for Hazardous Substances in Agricultural Products at the Production Stage, with the main contents as follows:

 

1. Set new residue limit standards for 14 pesticides, including Amisulbrom, and to revise the residue limit standards for 5 pesticides, including Chlorpyrifos.

 

2. Set new degradation rate constants for 14 pesticides including Amisulbrom.

 

The consultation period for the above is open until 11 December 2024.
