A raft of high-level speakers will be taking to the stage at the second annual China International Nutrition and Health Industry Summit, with the latest regulatory issues, trends, and omega-3 and probiotics insights under the spotlight.

Organised by the US-China Health Products Association (USCHPA), the event next month will hear from the International Probiotics Association and omega-3 trade body GOED, alongside experts from e-commerce giant Alibaba, consumer insights outfit Neilson and legal firm Keller & Heckman.

NutraIngredients-Asia is the exclusive international media partner for the event, which will be hosted by editor-in-chief Gary Scattergood.

USCHPA executve director Jeff Crowther said: “The aim of the summit is to bring forth topics that cover all aspects of the dietary supplement and nutritional ingredient industry in China such as regulations, market environment, advertising regulations and cross border insights.

“Because reliable information isn’t always easy to gather, the topics covered are important for both domestic and international companies. To understand China’s regulatory or market for any industry, it’s best to gather as much information as possible from various sources in order to piece together a more clear picture.”

The event will take place on June 19, the day before FI Asia-China / HI China / HNC Expo, which will also be held in Shanghai from June 20-22.

“This gives international companies that have staff visiting from overseas more value for the trip by attending the summit followed by three days of expo. China’s not close nor inexpensive to visit, so the more you can accomplish during trips the better,” added Crowther.

The event takes place at Marriot Renaissance Yu Garden Hotel in Shanghai.
