SAMR Seeks Public Comment on Technical Guidelines for the Registration of Infant Formula Milk Powder Products (Draft for Comment)

On July 24, 2018, the State Adminsitration of Market Regulation issued Technical Guidelines for the Registration of Infant Formula Milk Powder Products (Comment Draft), an notice of proposed rulemaking seeking public comment for further standardizing the registration of formula changes for infant formula product, and simplifying and optimizating the process. According to the "Regulations on the Registration of Formulas for Infant Formula Milk Powder Products" (formerly the China Food and Drug Administration(CFDA), Order No. 26) and related regulations, the State Adminsitration of Market Regulation organized the drafting of the Technical Guidelines for the Registration of Infant Formula Milk Powder Formulations. Principles (Draft for Comment).

Beginning tomorrow, the SAMR will be available for public comment through Augest 15th, 2018. The SAMR will consider all comments, data, research, and other information submitted to the docket to determine what regulatory next steps may be appropriate. Suggestions for amendments will be accept by the following two methods:

1. Send the comments to No. 2, Xuanwumen West Street, the former special food registration management department (Postcode 100053) of the State Adminsitration of Market Regulation , Xicheng District, Beijing, and indicate “Comment on Technical Guidelines for the Registration of Infant Formula Milk Powder Products”.
