1. What are the effects of high blood lipid?

Blood lipids are essential for the metabolism of cells, but excessive blood lipids can cause great health risks to human body. Cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases is now one of the three major causes that affecting the lifespan of Chinese people.

In addition, hyperlipidemia is closely related to hypertension and diabetes. High blood pressure accelerates atherosclerosis, and atherosclerosis increases blood pressure. A 15-year prospective study of diabetes in the UK (UKPDS) identified the increase of LDL was the highest risk factors for patients with type 2 diabetes to be exposed to cardiovascular disease.
 
2. What should consumers pay attention when using health food for assisting in lowering blood lipid?

(2) Consumers should pay attention to the illegal propaganda terms, such as anti- atherosclerosis, protecting cardiomyocytes, losing weight, preventing blood coagulation, preventing cerebral hemorrhage & cerebral thrombosis, preventing senile dementia, lowering blood viscosity, accelerating blood circulation and alleviating fatigue, etc. The above-mentioned terms have all been nationally recognized by SAMR as illegal when advertising health food for assisting in lowering blood lipid.
