On September 5, 2024, the National Health Commission of China issued an announcement regarding eight "new food ingredients, new food additives, and new food-related products," including arabinoxylan, approving arabinoxylan, Bifidobacterium longum subsp, infantis M-63, and N-acetylglucosamine as new food ingredients.
