Foreword
This standard replaces GB 5413.35-2010 “National food safety standard Determination of β-carotene in foods for infants and young children, milk and milk products”, GB/T 5009.83-2003 “Determination of carotene in foods” and NY/T 82.15-1988 “Method for determination of fruit juice Determination of β- carotene”.
Compared with GB 5413.35-2010, major changes of this standard are as follows:
——the name of standard has been revised to “National food safety standard Determination of carotene in foods”;
——the pretreatment method for general foods has been added;
——the chromatographic condition needed to distinguish α-carotene from β-carotene has been added;
——the result expression of carotene has been revised.
