This standard replaces GB/T 5009.169-2003 “Determination of taurine in foods” and GB 5413.26-2010 “National food safety standard Determination of taurine in foods for infants and young children, milk and milk products”.
Compared with GB/T 5009.169-2003, the major changes of this standard are as follows:
——the name of this standard has been revised to “National food safety standard Determination of taurine in foods”;
——the high performance liquid chromatography with OPA post-column derivatization has been added as Method I; the high performance liquid chromatography with Dansyl chloride pre-column derivatization has been added as Method II;
——the thin-layer chromatography has been deleted.
