Foreword
This standard replaces Section 4.2 “Peroxide value” stipulated in GB/T 5009.37-2003 “Method for analysis of hygienic standard of edible oils”, GB/T 5538-2005 “Animal and vegetable fats and oils-Determination of peroxide value” and SN/T 0801.3-2011 “Animal and vegetable fats and oils for export-Method for determination of peroxide value”.
Compared with Section 4.2 “Peroxide value” stipulated in GB/T 5009.37-2003, the major changes of this standard are as follows:
——the title of standard has been revised to “National food safety standard Determination of peroxide value in foods”;
——the concentration of sodium thiosulfate standard volumetric solution in Method I has been revised;
——the Method II “Colorimetric method” has been deleted; Method II “Potentiometric titration” has been added;
——the scope for the method has been added;
——the part of “test sample preparation” has been added.
