For the authoritative, comprehensive and systematic display of China's dairy industry development and quality and safety, China Dairy Association, Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Milk and Dairy Products Quality Supervision, Inspection and Testing Center (Beijing) released the "China Dairy Industry" to the public Quality Report (2018) (hereinafter referred to as the "Report"). According to the "Report", in 2017, China's dairy industry focused on quality, safety and green development, accelerated change and innovation, dairy production was generally stable, quality co

Domestic milk quality is better
In 2017, the pass rate of raw milk sampling in China reached 99.8%, and the pass rate of ilmine in dairy products, such as melamine, was 100% for 9 consecutive years; the pass rate of infant formula was 99.5%, and the overall sampling of dairy products was sampled. The pass rate was 99.2%. The data shows that the overall safety status of dairy products in China has reached a high level.
In recent years, China's imported dairy products have grown rapidly, and there are more and more types of imported dairy products on the market. "We have conducted a sample evaluation and comparative study on domestic liquid milk and imported liquid milk sold in supermarkets in more than 20 large and medium-sized cities in China for three consecutive years. The results show that both domestic liquid milk and imported liquid milk are in line with China's food. The national safety standard is guaranteed in food safety and can be safely consumed. Moreover, the quality assessment analysis shows that the quality of domestic milk is significantly better than imported milk."
Seize the opportunities of development
Experts believe that in the future, with the population growth and urbanization level, as well as the increase in residents' income and the improvement of consumption concept, China's dairy consumption will continue to grow steadily and rigidly. According to statistics, in 2017, domestic liquid milk sales increased by 6.7% year-on-year, consumption continued to recover; the growth rate of imported liquid milk slowed down, reversing the rapid growth momentum since 2008. “These positive changes indicate that China’s dairy industry is entering a period of opportunity for benign development.”
