Case Study | Not marking the content of black sesame on the package of black sesame paste, fined

      Case Study | Failing to mark the specific name as required in the ingredient list


Li bought a pack of Southern Black Sesame Paste. The outer package of the product highlighted that black sesame was added to the product involved, however the content of black sesame was not indicated on the product label.


The food involved belonged to the food that did not meet the national food safety standards, violated GB 7718-2011 National Food Safety Standard General Standard for the Labeling of Prepackaged Foods. The court therefore ruled that the company shall refund the payment and compensated 1000 RMB to Li.
