Recently, Foodmate summarized the food sampling inspection situation released by SAMR in June 2020. SAMR issued a three-phase notice of non-co
nformity of food, and notified a total of 41 batches of unqualified food.
Statistics show that unqualified samples involve 11 categories which are biscuits, bee products, cakes, processed cereal products, edible agricultural products, edible oils, fats, vegetable, potatoes and puffed foods, aquatic products, fruit products, special dietary foods. Among them, the largest number of unqualified samples were detected in edible agricultural products, with 23 batches, accounting for 56.1% of all unqualified samples.
According to statistics, the problems with these samples are: residues of pesticides and veterinary drugs (the most, 18 batches); excess of other chemical pollutants; excessive use of food additives; microbial contamination; inco
nsistency with the label value; quality indicators not up to standard and heavy me
tal pollution.
In addition, 10 batches of these unqualified samples were from o
nline stores. Among them, 2 batches on Tmall, 4 batches on Taobao, 3 batches on No. 1 store, and 1 batch on Jingdong.
For the unqualified foods found in the random inspection, SAMR has instructed the relevant provincial market supervision departments to immediately organize the verification and disposal, clarify the product flow, and take measures such as taking off and recall unqualified products to co
ntrol the risk.
