Q46. When the company uses the text format of the nutrient fact, it indicates other nutrients besides energy and core nutrients, but does not make the “labeling of energy and core nutrients more eye-catching”. Is it possible?

Answer: Prepackaged foods with a total package surface area ≤100 cm2 or a maximum surface area ≤20 cm2 can be exempt from nutrition labeling. Enterprises actively label nutrition labels under exemptions, which is worthy of encouragement. Although the labels of energy and core nutrients in the nutrition label are not eye-catching, they do not affect consumers' understanding. In order to save social resources, it is recommended that manufacturers use printed packaging materials or take other remedial methods as soon as possible, and design and use new packaging in accordance with the correct format as soon as possible.

Q47. When labeling the nutrition fact, draw the header "Nutrition fact" into the box. The other parts are the same as the format listed in Appendix B of this standard. Is it judged as unqualified?

Answer: According to Article 73 of the Standard Q&A (Revision Edition), the header "Nutrition fact" is drawn into the box, and the other parts are the same as the format listed in Appendix B of this standard that meets the standard requirements

Q48. The Q&A (Revision edition) of this standard stipulates: "Prepackaged foods that are not directly provided to consumers can be implemented with reference to this standard, or they can be signed or provided with relevant nutrition information according to the agreement between the two parties or the contract." If both parties do not stipulate in the contract whether to label nutrition information, whether it must be labelled according to the requirements of this standard?

Answer: If there is no agreement between the two parties in the contract whether to label nutrition information, the company can choose voluntarily.

Q49. If the cholesterol content is indicated in the "Nutrition Fact", is it necessary to also indicate the saturated fat content in the "Nutrition Fact"? If it is a zero-fat and zero-cholesterol milk, the content of cholesterol has been labelled as zero in the nutrition fact, and the content of fat is zero, do I still need to label the content of saturated fat?

Answer: If cholesterol is not claimed, there is no need to indicate the saturated fat content in the nutrition facts table. If it is a zero-fat and zero-cholesterol milk and the fat content has been labelled as zero in the nutrition fact, there is no need to label the saturated fat content.
