Russian Federal Veterinary Plant Agency reported on January 29: Due to the worsening of the avian influenza epidemic, the Russian Federal Veterinary Plant Agency banned the entry of live poultry and poultry products from certain European countries.
According to the website, from January 29, 2020, the import of live poultry and poultry products from the entire territory of Romania, France, Sweden, the Czech Republic, and some provinces and regions in Germany is prohibited, including: live poultry, hatching eggs, poultry meat and their products(Except for products processed to ensure the elimination of avian influenza virus according to the requirements of the OIE "Terrestrial Animal Health Law"), feed and feed additives of poultry origin (except for plant feed and feed additives, chemical and microbial synthesis).
In addition, the transfer of live poultry through Russia is also restricted from now on.
