On February 22, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued Announcement No. 2023-85, intending to modify some of the contents of the "Food and Other Temporary Standards and Specifications Identification Standards". The main contents of this modification are as follows:
1. Expand the scope of the recognition of food ingredients, and determine that the food raw materials of the object include food raw materials from genetically modified microorganisms.
2. Unified temporary standards and the terms in the specification application.
