At present, egg-shaped lychees in Enshi and Fuqu counties in Xing'an province are entering the picking period. Due to their early maturity, sweet taste and beautiful appearance, the egg-shaped lychees in this province are favored by consumers and sold at a good price.
In the past few days, the Agricultural Cooperative in Panchaonan Township, Fuqu County, Xing'an Province has been very busy with people coming and going. Many businessmen from all over the country have come to purchase egg-shaped lychees. Although the price is several times higher than that of ordinary lychees, egg-shaped lychees in Hung Yen Province are still selling well due to their special taste and good appearance.
Mei Wenjue, director of the Juejin Agricultural Cooperative in Hung Yen Province, said, "Compared with ordinary lychees, our egg-shaped lychees are larger, more colorful and sweeter. Especially, they are easier to keep fresh. After picking, as long as they are stored in a cool and dry place, they will last for 5 days. -The color is still maintained after 7 days. At present, our demand for egg-shaped lychees is very high, and the supply is often in short supply."
In recent years, egg-shaped lychees in Xing'an Province have gradually been favored by customers, bringing high economic value to lychee farmers. Therefore, Fuqu County is planning to expand the planting area of egg-shaped lychees.
Pei Guangnan, Director of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Fuqu County, Xing'an Province, said: "The county is actively carrying out the lychee brand protection proposal, which includes assisting farmers to expand the lychee planting area and organizing agricultural technology training courses for them to improve planting yield and quality."
The planting area of egg-shaped lychee trees in Hung Yen Province is 250 hectares, with an output of 200 tons. Together with longan, egg-shaped lychee has gradually become a local specialty of the province and is very popular with consumers.
