On August 7, 2018, China National Center forFood Safety Risk Assessment(CFSA) released public solicitation about the novel food ingredients Ashitaba , among which the recommended consumption amount: fresh leaf no more than 50 grams/day, infants, pregnant women and lactating women should not eat. The deadline for soliciting opinions is September 7, 2018.
CFSA Solicited Opinions for The New Varieties of Food AdditivesOn August 8, 2018, China National Center forFood Safety Risk Assessment(CFSA) released a new variety of food additives soliciting opinions, a total of 7 varieties, respectively: cyclohexylamine sulfonate sodium, β- cyclodextrin, alpha-glucosidase, glucoamylase, maltotetracycline hydrolase, protease, lactase (β-saponidase). Among them, sodium cyclamate is used as a sweetener in fermented flour products (rice cakes) with a maximum usage of 1.0g/kg. As other (flavor modifier, flavor correction agent), β- cyclodextrin is used in pickled vegetables with a maximum usage of 0.5g/kg. The deadline for soliciting opinions is September 6, 2018.
