On August 28, 2021, the Australian Department of Agriculture, Water and the Environment Bicon system updated the import conditions for seaweed, which will take effect immediately. The revised content includes:

(1) Expand the scope of application of import conditions to include powdered seaweed, and the end use of the product from only human consumption to human consumption, feed, veterinary treatment, planting and environmental use, and may also include cosmetics and cosmetic raw materials;

(2) The title of the case was updated from "seaweed for human consumption" to "seaweed" to reflect the end-use update.
