On June 7, the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety (MFDS) issued a partial amendment to the Food Labeling and Advertising Law Enforcement Order. The main contents are as follows:  
   
Use the consumption period, which means the period that the product is edible, to replace the circulation period, which means the period that sale of food is permitted.  
   
To protect consumers from improper labeling or advertising of food products, add the date of production to the list.

"Food for Special Purpose" will be amended to "special nutritional food and special medical food", etc.
