Foreword

This standard replaces the enumeration part of coliforms in GB 4789.3-2010 “National food safety standard Food microbiological examination: Enumeration of coliforms”, GB/T 4789.32-2002 “Microbiological examination for food hygiene Rapid detection of coliform bacteria” and SN/T 0169-2010 “Method for examination of coliform, Fecal coliform and Escherichia coil in food for import and export”.

Compared with GB 4789.3-2010, the major changes are as follows:

——the “Examination Principle” has been added;

——the “Scope of Application” has been revised;

——the morphological description of the typical bacterial colonies has been revised;

——the Method II Selection of plate count has been revised;

——the Method II Verification test has been revised;

——the Method II The report of plate count has been revised..
