This standard replaces SN/T 1018-2001 “Method for the determination of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid content in canned food for export”.

Compared with SN/T 1018-2001, the major changes are as follows:

——the standard name has been revised as “National food safety standard Determination of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid salts in foods”;

——the applicable scope has been added to the standard;

——the determination method of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid calcium disodium in compound condiment has been added.
