EU Plans to Approve Mycelia from Agaricus blazei and Grifola frondosa as well as Hericium erinaceus Extracts as Novel Foods
On September 2, 2025, the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) published Public Consultation Document No. PC-1589, proposing the approval of mycelia from Agaricus blazei and Grifola frondosa , as well as extracts from Hericium erinaceus, as novel foods. The feedback period for comments is open until September 25, 2025.
