China Seeks Comments on a New Food-Related Product Substance: Polymer of Methacrylic Acid with n-Butyl Acrylate, Cyclohexyl Methacrylate, Methyl Methacrylate, Glycidyl Methacrylate, Hydroxypropyl Methacrylate and Allyl Methacrylate
On April 23, 2026, the China National Center for Food Safety Risk Assessment (CFSA) opened a public consultation on a new food-related product substance, namely a polymer of methacrylic acid with n-butyl acrylate, cyclohexyl methacrylate, methyl methacrylate, glycidyl methacrylate, hydroxypropyl methacrylate and allyl methacrylate. The comment period will close on May 23, 2026.
