The Interdepartmental Commission of the Government of Kazakhstan has made a decision that until the end of 2024 Kazakhstan will temporarily prohibit the import of apples from third countries (except for the member countries of the Eurasian Economic Union). According to Kazakhstan's Ministry of Agriculture, the total apple harvest this year will reach 300,000 tons, and the harvest rate will increase by 18%, which will meet the domestic market demand.
