After 18 years, China lifts ‘mad cow disease’ ban on Japan's beef foodmate global

According to the result of risk analysis, on
December 19, 2019, the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs issued two announcements that, starting from the issue date of this announcement, Japan's mad cow disease ban (Announcement No.202 [2019]) and Japan's foot-and-mouth disease ban (Announcement No.200 [2019]) were lifted.

 
The deboned beef (under 30 month-old) and cloven hoofed animals and their products from Japan that meet the requirements could be imported into China.

The Announcement No.143 [2001] and Announcement No.45 [2010] issued by former General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and former Ministry of Agricultural was abolished simultaneously.
