Unqualified foods came from 25 countries or regions. Products from Vietnam, 47 batches, were the most, following with Japan, Ecuador and Russia.
The foods refused for entry did not comply with China’s laws and regulations. The main reasons of rejection were illegal food label issue (the most), animal diseases detected, without required certificates or qualified documents, etc.
Statistics also show that Nanning Port detected the largest number of unqualified foods, with 48 batches.
Unqualified cosmetic came from Italy, which were rejected due to Pseudomonas aeruginosa detected.
The above-mentioned unqualified foods and cosmetics had been returned or destroyed at ports, according to GACC.
