The standard specifies the terms and definitions of plant-based meat products. Plant-based meat products use plant raw materials or their processed products as the sole or main source of protein and fat, with or without the addition of other ingredients, food additives (including nutrient fortifiers), and processed products that have a flavor similar to animal meat products, Texture and shape of food.
In addition, the standard also stipulates product classification, technical requirements, raw material requirements, inspection and judgment rules, labels, signs, packaging, storage and transportation. The standard is applicable to plant-based meat products with plants, algae and fungi as protein sources.
