On June 18th, Chekusov, Director of Information Policy and Special Projects Department of Russian Ministry of Agriculture, said at the online conference of Russian dairy products export to China that Russia will start exporting milk powder to China in the autumn of 2020. According to the agreement, milk, goat's milk and finished products can be exported to China, except milk powder, dried cream and whey.

On June 18, the Director of the Information Policy and Special Projects Department of the Russian Ministry of Agriculture, Chekusov, said at an online conference on the export of Russian dairy products to China that Russia will begin exporting milk powder to China from autumn 2020.

He said: "We will ensure that the export of milk powder to China will continue to move forward until the autumn. It not everything depends on us, but on our Chinese partners. However, I look forward to the beginning of export in autumn 2020."

At present, Russian dairy products can be exported to China by B2C. Russia and China signed an agreement to export dairy products to the Chinese market in November 2018. Under the agreement, Russian producers can export milk, goat milk and manufactured products to China, but milk powder, dry cream and milk are eliminated.

At present, there are 34 dairy products companies in Russia that can be exported to China, in addition to 49 ice cream producers. According to 2019 statistics, Russia exported a total of 480 tons of dairy products to China, with a total value of US$919,000.
