Kazakhstan plans to expand exports of aquatic products to China

Kazaag News Agency, Astana, Nov. 14 -- The Kazakh government has confirmed the inspection and quarantine certificate of aquatic products exported to China with Chinese authorities in order to explore the external market, Kazakh Minister of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources Serikkali Brekeshev said on the same day. A total of 64 Kazakh enterprises have been included in the list of aquatic products exported to China. According to an amendment to the Tax Code submitted to parliament for deliberation, the value-added tax of aquatic product processing enterprises will be reduced by 70 percent. The Ministry of Ecology, Geology and Natural Resources plans to provide preferential subsidies for deep-processing products of domestic aquatic products, and a draft law has been submitted to the central government for review.
