According to the information on the Indonesian Food and Drug Administration(BPOM )'s legal database website, the Indonesian Food and Drug Administration published on the afternoon of December 1, 2022 the "Notice on the registration and/or import requirements of food additives sorbitol syrup, glycerin, propylene glycol and other ethylene glycol, diethylene glycol". The circular requires the registration and/or import of Indonesian food additives sorbitol, glycerin and propylene glycol to contain residual limits of ethylene glycol and diethylene glycol. At the same time, the product registration process also needs to provide compliance evidence. The notice is now in effect.
