According to the Daily Mirror of Sri Lanka on December 15, the latest figures from Forbes and Walker Tea Brokers show that Sri Lankan tea exports fell by 25 per cent year-on-year in November to 19.19 million kg. From January to November this year, Sri Lanka's tea exports totaled 230 million kg, down 11% year on year, and tea exports earned $1.17 billion, down 4.6% year on year, mainly to Iraq, Russia, Turkey, Iran and other countries.
