Marcos Jr. signed a series of cooperation agreements with China on agriculture, tourism, infrastructure and other fields. Among the agreements included the "Protocol on Phytosanitary Requirements for Exporting Philippine Fresh Durian to China" signed by the Philippines' Department of Agriculture and the General Administration of Customs of China, from which the Philippines' fresh durian has obtained the long-awaited entry into China.

The 2.09 billion US dollars of fruit export purchase intentions obtained by the Philippines this time also include coconuts and bananas. During the roundtable meeting with chief executives of the agricultural sector, Marcos pointed out that Philippines' coconut exports to the Chinese market also have huge growth potential, and Chinese companies are welcome to invest in durian and coconut planting and processing. Marcos said at least four companies have expressed interest in sourcing more Philippines' tropical fruit products, especially durian.
