On February 22, the Pará Agricultural Agricultural Agency confirmed that the results of the suspected case examination in the southeast of the state were positive. Subsequently, the Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture confirmed the statement and announced that it had suspended beef export trade from the 23rd.

A Brazilian media reported that mad cow disease is a disease that endangers cattle central nervous system, which are divided into two types: typical and atypical. Among them, the etiology of typical mad cow disease is to eat contaminated feeds, and that is often a case of accidental occurrence, which is more common in aging animals. According to the Pala state government, this is a typical mad cow disease that is not risked by dissemination or transmission between cattle groups. But as of now, the Ministry of Agriculture has not confirmed this detail.

According to the bilateral agreements reached by Brazil and China in 2015, when Brazilian beef beef risks occur, the suspension of export mechanism will automatically start. The Brazilian Ministry of Agriculture stated in a statement that the two governments are strengthening dialogue to exchange relevant information and restore beef export trade as soon as possible.

It is reported that in September 2021, there were two atypical crazy cow diseases in Brazil. At that time, Brazil suspended the export of beef according to the agreement, and it was not until 3 months before returning to normal trade.
