Vietnam's seafood exports to China rose 33% year-on-year to $122 million in February, according to the Vietnam Association of Seafood Exporters and Producers (VASEP).

Exports of Vietnamese Marine products to China are showing signs of recovery after China optimized its response to the coronavirus outbreak.

China became Vietnam's second largest export market for Marine products last year, with trade rising 63 percent, outpacing the industry's 23 percent annual growth rate, said Nguyen Hoai Nam, deputy secretary-general of the VASEP. China is brightening prospects for Vietnamese exporters of Marine products after a rapid change in its response to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Tran Thanh Nam, Vietnam's vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Development, said the pandemic has disrupted multiple supply chains, resulting in a disconnect between Vietnamese companies and their Chinese partners, and measures are being taken to reconnect supply chains and boost bilateral trade.

Tran Thi Bich Ngoc, head of the Border Administration, said Vietnam's agricultural and fishery exports to China through the Mong Cai international border port increased by about 60 percent year-on-year.
