On April 24, according to Korean media reports, the South Korea's Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries (MOF) established the "Application Website for Inspection of Radioactive Substances in Aquatic Products", and began trial operation on April 24. Korean nationals can directly apply for inspection of radioactive substances in aquatic products.

Korean nationals can register as members on the radioactive substance inspection website, select aquatic product varieties and regions, and can apply once a week. The status of the application will be made public.

The MOF plans to select 10 types of aquatic products with more applications from citizens every week, conduct inspections on radioactive substances, and disclose the results. After a trial operation for one month, the official operation will begin in May.
