On June 2, 2023, according to the website of the UK Department of Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (DEFRA), UK importers can import eggs from approved non-EU countries to the UK and sell eggs in the UK. To market eggs in Great Britain, the non-EU country must have equivalent egg marketing standards to the UK.

Before December 31, 2023, eggs imported from non-EU countries must be marked with "non-EC standard" and "non-British standard"; from January 1, 2024, they must be marked as "non-British standard". The health certificate template that exporters from non-EU countries should use to export eggs to the UK is "GBHC075XE: Eggs from Non-EU Countries", and fill in category A or B in column 118 of the health certificate.
