On June 30, 2023, the Federal Register of Australia issued Notice F2023C00527 to formulate labeling standards for alcoholic beverages and alcoholic foods.
The main content includes terms and definitions, expressions of alcohol content on beverage and food labels, restrictive statements (such as beverages with an alcohol content of more than 1.15% shall not be labeled as low-alcohol beverages, beverage labels with an alcohol content of more than 0.5% shall not be marked with "no Alcohol" or words with similar meanings), warning labeling requirements, etc.
This standard comes into effect on the date of publication in the Government Gazette.
