The Eurasian Economic Union revised technical regulations on the safety of meat and meat products

On July 26, 2023, the EAEU Council issued Order No. 107 amending the Technical Regulation on the safety of meat and meat Products (Regulation TR CU034/2013). The main contents of the revision are:

 

(1) Add that the actual detected value of protein and fat in meat products for infants shall not exceed the content level specified in Annex IV of this Regulation;

 

2. Meat and meat products shall be labeled with the nutrient content value on the label, of which the actual detected value of protein shall not be less than 80% of the labeled value, and the carbohydrate content shall not exceed 120% of the labeled value.

 

The decision takes effect from the date of publication on the EAEU website and the transition period is six months.
