He introduced that at present, due to the impact of the global economic crisis, Cambodian consumption began to decline, making the local retail industry in trouble. Therefore, the tax Bureau decided to increase the special tax on energy drinks from September this year, in order to increase the government's tax revenue.
It is understood that the General Administration of Taxation of Cambodia decided to increase the special tax rate of all types of energy drinks to 15% from September 1 this year, while reducing the special tax rate of some locally produced health drinks to 5%, in order to reduce the consumption of energy drinks and encourage people to drink healthy drinks.
Locally produced health drinks in Cambodia, such as milk drinks, soy milk, coconut water drinks, non-carbonated drinks and coffee drinks produced in high temperature UV.
According to health doctors, long-term consumption of energy drinks has an impact on health, it is recommended to drink when you need to supplement energy, and to drink in moderation, especially children, pregnant women, cardiovascular disease patients, diabetes patients, etc., should be used with caution.
