From October 27 last year to October 27 this year, Cambodia has exported 14,000 tons of fresh longan to China.

According to Enlozana, the State Secretary and Spokesperson of the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, the Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries and the Chinese Embassy in Cambodia held the launch ceremony of Cambodian fresh longan export to China on October 27, 2022 in Phnom Penh, and as of October 27 this year, a total of 14,000 tons of fresh longan has been successfully exported to the Chinese market. Among them, a total of 11,000 tons of fresh longan exported to China from January to October 27 this year.

He said that in the past year, the General Bureau of Agriculture of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia registered 97 companies and 12 plantations exporting Cambodian longan to China and obtained approval from the General Administration of Customs of China. In addition to exporting to the Chinese market, Cambodian enterprises also process fresh longan into related products for the domestic super market, including dry longan, canned longan, longan juice, longan wine, etc.

The Cambodian Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries encourages all enterprises to continue their efforts in processing Cambodian agricultural products, and the ministry will work with relevant departments to promote these quality products to the world market.
