Israel revised guidelines for submission of import applications for nutritional supplements

On December 5, 2023, the Israeli Ministry of Health revised the guidelines for submission of import applications for nutritional supplements, effective as of the date of publication. 


According to the guideline, to apply for permission to import nutritional supplements, the following documents must be submitted in accordance with the provisions:


The production enterprise is under the supervision of the competent authority;


Free sale certificate;


Good manufacturing practice certification issued by a qualified organization;


The ingredients of the product include the ingredients of the capsule and the botanical names of the plant ingredients contained;


Test reports of products provided by certified laboratories, including plant leaves, dried plant parts, and powders, plant extracts, and water-based nutritional supplements used to make beverages must provide microbial test reports;


The original label of the product;


Product stability test results or manufacturer's statement on the basis of product shelf life determination.
